Jay’s Stump Grinding Was hired to remove this nuisance stump that blocked the area they intended to add a deck. With this stump being so close to the house, careful consideration was required to ensure no structure damage occurred to the house during grinding. The stump was successfully ground deeply under grade and the chips were spread evenly to create a level area under the future porch.
As a bonus, the wood chips provided a nice mulch which helps prevent sunlight from reaching weed seeds, thereby retarding future plant growth under the new deck.
